By the time you read this we’ll be about halfway to Hawaii. The Captain thinks we’ll land in Honolulu about 21 days from now, around February 8 but you just never know. It all depends on wind conditions and currents.
I’ve finally been getting some mileage in these last two days. Yesterday I swam 12.8 miles in four hours and 45 minutes and the day before 11 miles in 2-4 foot seas. Seas were relatively calm, around six feet yesterday and it was sunny for the first time after weeks of being in the clouds.
Last night was Zoli’s birthday, he’s our videographer who is working on a documentary film “Woman Overboard” about my swims. We had a steak dinner which is pretty special for being this far out to sea. Sara bought the steaks at Costco and saved them for the occasion. We also played Texas Hold ‘Em, the crew taught me how. Sara made Zoli a replica of the boat out of clay she made with flour, salt, and water. It had a sail and everything. It’s also Sara’s “name day” … they celebrate that in Europe so we are had a big celebration on the boat last night.
That’s all I have to report from the Pacific for now.
Oceans of gratitude,
Jennifer

Dear Jennifer!!! Halfway to Hawaii?! Amazing…and it is really interesting to see how far you are able to go each day. I wonder if there is anything like a pedometer for your arms to see how many times you have ‘paddled’ so far…If not, you could invent a “Figometer” !!! So proud of your amazing determination…love you! Martha
